International No Diet Day 2026!

  • Downtown Guelph Guelph Canada (map)

For over a decade, downtown Guelph businesses have come together to recognize International No Diet Day on May 6. This year, from May 3–10, local shops and restaurants will once again display window posters that encourage body acceptance and celebrate the diversity of natural shapes and sizes. New for this year, we have expanded our geographical outreach to Kitchener/Waterloo, Cambridge, and Wellington County!

In a culture saturated with messages that equate worth with appearance, it’s easy to internalize unrealistic, and often unhealthy, standards. These pressures, reinforced by powerful beauty, fitness, and diet industries, can contribute to body dissatisfaction, low self-esteem, and strained relationships with food.

International No Diet Day offers an opportunity to challenge these norms, shift the conversation, and promote a more compassionate, accepting view of our bodies grounded in respect, balance, and self-appreciation.
